There had been no structural advances in building structure for 5,000 years. Most of conventional buildings required much maintenance, did not make efficient use of raw materials, and depended on gravity for strength. Inspired by the Staue of Liberty in New York, this research project is to overcome strictures of convention, politics of production, and cartesian space by employing new methods of tectonic structure involving a fabric formwork filled with earth that is manipulated into a final form. The flexible form is hardened and emptied leaving behind a super lightweight shell, translucent, and free to transport. Finally, this system grants people a capable of decision making without external control.
